Start and End Times

Students are expected to arrive at APA!’s Main Facility (TLAC) on the Day 1 (Monday) of their apprenticeship by 9:00AM. Students should report to Building C (Clinic) on Day 1 and ask for Jordana, the APA! Clinic Manager.

The daily schedule will vary, and will be communicated to apprentices on their first day.

The apprenticeship will end at 2:00PM on the last day of the apprenticeship.

What to Wear

Activities will be based in our Parvo ICU. All staff, volunteers and students who enter the Parvo ICU are required to change into scrubs and shoes that are provided, so students are not required to bring any scrubs. We do recommend that students bring comfortable clothes to wear while working outside the Parvo ICU and while touring the facility.

We recommend:

  • Close-toed shoes
  • Pants or Jeans
  • Layers
  • We encourage all our students to proudly wear shirts or items from their home shelters!

Texas weather is unpredictable, so it is recommended to check the daily weather forecast prior to your visit. You can learn more about our weather here.
